Hey all!

Been putting in work! If you’re an actor as well, I hope you are too and seeing that hard work pay off! If not yet, then it will be soon! I’ve been really trying to manifest that kind of energy lately and it feels great to be putting in work and allowing that to give you the opportunities to be making really cool awesome art! I have had some awesome auditions lately and fingers crossed that my hard work will pay off! Anyway, I booked my first film as a lead, which hasn’t happened in a few years! It’s a short film and we have a rehearsal tonight and start filming on Friday! Woo! I can’t wait to get back on screen. I love stage work! It’s super fundamental to our art form. It is nice to switch gears though and have a small break to do something a little different. Super excited to share this piece once it’s complete! Until next time!

Light and Love,

Whit

Hello everyone!

It’s been a great 2019 so far!

I started out the year at Pride Films & Plays, as a performer in their LezSing Cabaret! It was a fun night full of laughs and music and lady love! I’m not a lesbian, but I was invited to perform and it was great being surrounded by so many talented women having a great time doing art we love that matters to us. My talented good friend Michael Kurowski performed Electric Lady by Janelle Monae with me. He played guitar and sang a few vocals and we had an awesome time doing it! You can check out more of his awesomeness here! Today also happens to be his birthday, so if you know him, shoot him a birthday wish!

Additionally to LezSing, I’ve been in rehearsals at another one of my dream work places, Raven Theatre, for Aesop’s Fables! It’s an awesome fun show as a part of their TYA program, and I’m super excited!

I start rehearsals tomorrow for another fun project, under the direction of a dear friend of mine, so more on that soon, once it’s officially announced to the public.

Other than that, lots of great auditions at great places, VO audiobook work, and spending time with Colin, our friends and family, and our pet mini poodle Nell.

Until next time!

Love and Light,

Whit

Upcoming Events

Hey all!

I will be performing two plays this month by one of my absolute favorite up-and-coming playwrights, Brea Harris!

The first is this Friday, May 15, at 1 PM in the Theatre Department Building of Columbia College Chicago during our graduate festival Manifest!  It's titled The Porch Play, and I will be playing the role of Jax.  Feel free to come out and enjoy fourteen other wonderful performances and the festival itself to see what my peers and I are putting out there!

The second is my very first professional show!  How to Make Love Out of the Unconditional Grey.  I am absolutely in love with this play, and I hope you can make it out to see it!  It is a staged reading of the play, and I will be reading the role of Alexandria/Alex/Lexi.  Showtime is Saturday, May 23 at the Gorilla Tango Theatre, 6 PM.  Hope to see you there!  It is a phenomenal piece of work.
